The Trouble With Love
January 11 – February 23, 2008
ÒThe Trouble with LoveÓ will be an edgy, very broadly themed valentine show
exploring love, romance, relationships, sex, communication, sentiment, heart
break. The show is not juried and
open to all artists.
Coordinator has final say in the placement
of artwork and whether entries fit the theme. Questions: 355-1894.
REQUIREMENTS
a)
Wall
pieces must be ready to hang—no exceptions—wire and screw eyes
required (no saw toothed hangers).
b)
3D work
must fit on one pedestal.
c) Work
must be the original work of the submitting artists, and not previously shown
at Sanchez Art Center.
d)
Work
must be dry and labeled (artist, title, medium) on back (underneath for 3D
work).
e)
Entry
form completed plus entry fee for each artwork submitted.
(NEW) $15 entry fee (or two vouchers) for
Art Guild members - $25 per artwork for non-members
f) Multiple
entries will be permitted on space available basis.
g)
In
addition to the entry fee, exhibiting artists will be asked to volunteer as
gallery attendants for one or two two-hour shifts during the exhibit. Art Guild
of Pacifica members make this contribution in order to keep the galleries open. Members receive one voucher for each
two hour shift, to be used toward an entry fee for future shows.
SALES – Sanchez Art Center will
withhold/retain 30% commission on sales, as artistÕs representative.

Monday, January 7, from 10 am to noon
Always free and open to the general public, the reception
will be held at the Sanchez Art Center.
RETURN - Sunday, February 24, 3 pm to 5 pm, and Monday,
February 25, 10 am to noon.
All entries must be signed out and removed from the Sanchez
Art Center by noon, February 25.
Artists not picking up their artwork will be charged $5.00 per day, and
artwork not picked up after thirty days becomes the property of the Sanchez Art
Center. For special arrangements
